Carami Hilaire is a soulful soprano from Brooklyn, New York who has worked with both Sarasota and Saratoga Opera companies. She is a graduate of the Professional Studies program at Mannes where she performed the role of Matilda Neruda in Daniel Catan’s il postino. She is a Belvedere Competition qualifier, a Julian Autrey foundation grant winner and a 2017 Harlem Opera Competition winner. Carami has also received awards from both the Wagner Society of New York and the Premiere Opera competition. She has sung with the Internationale Opernwerkstatt based in Switzerland. She has performed the role of Tosca with both Regina Opera and New Jersey Verismo Opera to rave reviews. In June, she will join Teatro Nuovo, formally known as Bel Canto at Caramoor. She will be performing the title role of Aida in May with Regina Opera.
